Patrick is a folding bike enthusiast from the very beginning and has been a fixture in the scene with his Berlin-based folding bike shop , BOXBIKE, since 2009. Over the years, he has stocked nearly 20 folding bike brands and is therefore more knowledgeable about the world of folding bikes than almost anyone else.
His passion for innovation and quality led him to the renowned Japanese brand Tyrell , which he discovered through CUSTOM magazine – a Japanese magazine specializing in folding bike tuning. Originally known for its 20-inch minibikes, Tyrell surprised everyone with its first folding bikes, the FX and IVE. Immediately won over by the exceptional design, innovative technology, and excellent craftsmanship, Patrick struck a deal with Tyrell Japan to bring the brand to Europe.

With a background in photography and an absolute passion for bicycles, Andi has been deeply rooted in the bicycle industry since 2009. As co-founder of Bike Citizens, he has been instrumental in award-winning campaigns and products, collecting prestigious accolades such as the Eurobike Award, the German Bicycle Award, and the Berlin Bicycle Award.
Patrick and Andi share a common passion for innovation and technology and have known each other for many years in the Berlin bike bubble. As a passionate cycle traveler, Andi has already logged thousands of kilometers on bikepacking adventures. He has always been particularly fond of Tyrell bikes. With his custom-built IVE touring bike, he has developed a special connection to the brand.
Since 2023, Andi has been strengthening the team and contributing his creativity and experience – especially through the production of inspiring content that perfectly captures the fascination for Tyrell bikes and the joy of cycling.
