What body sizes are Tyrell bikes limited to?

  • IVE up to 1.95m

Are Tyrell bikes also available with electric drive?

No, Tyrell Bikes deliberately remain analog. The reason for this lies in the very nature of folding bikes: They are designed to be flexible and easy to transport – whether to the apartment, the office, or down the stairs to the subway.

A lightweight and dynamic bike offers clear advantages over a heavier e-bike. With Tyrell, we focus on the riding experience created by pure muscle power and smart construction – for maximum fun and freedom of movement.

Do the Tyrell bikes also have hub gears?

No, with Tyrell folding bikes, we focus on lightness and performance. A hub gear doesn't fit our concept, as it would make the bike heavier. Instead, we use precise, lightweight derailleur gears, which perfectly match the sporty character and high agility of our folding bikes.

Is there a weight limit?

  • IVE 120kg (driver including luggage)
  • FX 85kg (driver including luggage)

Can I take my Tyrell bike for repair anywhere?

Yes, unlike other brands that primarily use their own specialized components, you have significantly more freedom and flexibility in choosing your workshop with a Tyrell. The Shimano and Tektro components can be serviced or replaced by almost any bike shop. However, if a specific Tyrell component, such as the frame, handlebar, or wheel, is affected, we will of course support you with the appropriate replacement parts.

There is no Tyrell dealer near me. Can I test the bike at home?

Yes, that's possible! We have a few test bikes in stock that we'd be happy to send to your home for a short test period. This way, you can try out the bike in peace and quiet, without having to be near a Tyrell dealer.

What are the main differences between the different IVE models?

The IVE series offers various models that can be adapted to suit the application and requirements.

The "Basic" version is the entry-level option, coming directly from Japan and offering the proven Tyrell standards – ideal for anyone looking for a high-quality folding bike at an attractive price.
